Nissan’s performance car skunkworks arm Nismo (short for Nissan Motorsports) has agreed a deal with Williams Advanced Engineering to co-develop faster versions of Nissan’s road cars from 2014. It doesn’t mean the Williams F1 team will be developing the forthcoming Nismo version of the GT-R, but the Formula One team and Williams Advanced Engineering are part of the same group founded by Sir Frank Williams. If you had just the side views of the new, fourth-generation 2011 Audi A8 sedan and its predecessor to look at side by side, the differences appear more subtle than stark. We’ve had a chunk of VW releases lately, and several on the new Volkswagen Golf. We reported earlier on the VW Golf GTI Worthersee Concept car, and this afternoon early information and pictures have surfaced of the next Golf release – the new VW Golf Estate. Planned to be released at the end of the year, the new Golf Estate gets the same front end treatment as the new hatchback.
